Eligibility
The Outstanding Youth Award Contest is open to all high school juniors and seniors enrolled in Texas. Contest winners will receive scholarships to their designated schools. These scholarships must be collected within two years of the recipient’s high school graduation.
Application Process and Rules
Students interested in the contest should contact their local Lions Club. They must fill out the OFY Contest Application form, including any applicable fee and required documents for each contest, as per the contest rules. Form links are provided. Refer to the contest rules for sending documents. Contact the State Contest Coordinator with any questions.
Claiming Your Scholarship
To collect your scholarship award, the contest winner or runner-up must submit proof of registration information from a university, college, junior college or vocational school. A formal request for payment, using the scholarship request form below, should be sent to the state office along with any supplemental information needed by the institution (i.e. scholarship forms, etc). Scholarship awards must be collected no later than two (2) years following the recipient’s graduation from High School. Send request for payment to:
