Texas Lions provide a variety of programs to encourage youth participation in issues facing society today. Through its contests at the club level, the district level and ultimately the state level, students can research and gain knowledge on various social ramifications of both diabetes and substance abuse. These contests provide youth an opportunity to share leadership experiences and to make a difference in their school and community.
The Texas Lions’ Opportunity for Youth sponsors three main contests during the year. A student may enter multiple contests as long as they meet the qualification requirements for each. You may click one of the links below for more information, or read on for the general procedures and applications:

Please note these year’s contests will be held online to provide youth from all Texas Districts an opportunity to compete in these contests.

For each contest, the student participant must complete each of the following:
A common contest application form described below and on the contest page
The Code of Conduct Agreement as described below and on the contest page
The Medical Power of Attorney as described below and on the contest pages
These must be submitted by the deadlines stated on the individual contest pages.
If you will be providing a chaperone, please also fill out the Chaperone Guidelines below.*
