Public Relations Important For
Success
Successful Lions Clubs understand the importance of community
support for their service projects and fundraising. They
obtain this community support through an effective public relations
plan.
This web page is designed to give local Lions Clubs basic
information on how they can begin their own public relations
program.

Planning Continues For
Internet-Based
MD-2 Texas Lions Promotional
Advertising
The 2007-2008 MD-2 Council of Governors has authorized
development of Internet-based banner advertising and a supplemental web
site promoting the Lions of Texas and the humanitarian service they
provide.
The campaign is set to begin in December 2007. Copy is
being written and photos are being collected for use on the new web
page.
If your club or district has a great photo of
Lions in service, please send to PDG Carmon McCain as soon as
possible!
Updates will be provided as this project
progresses.
"User-Friendly" PR Tools Available from
LCI
The Public Relations Department at Lions Clubs International
headquarters has a wide range of "user-friendly" downloadable
public relations tools available for club use, such as fill-in-the-blank
news releases and downloadable radio and TV PSAs.

Awards
Entries are now being accepted for the 2007-2008 "Lions
Pride" award recognizing Lions Clubs and media organizations in Texas
who are actively informing the public about the Lions of Texas and the
humanitarian service they provide.
ENTRY DEADLINE IS APRIL 15,
2008
Awards will be presented at the State
Convention in Amarillo!
