Texas Lions Celebrate with Karen Taylor-Good

During the recent State Convention of Texas Lions, held in Midland, Texas, the group successfully brought to a close the 99th year of Lionism, and officially kicked off the Centennial Celebration. On hand was singer/songwriter Karen Taylor-Good who entertained and celebrated with her own songs about Lionism.

Bellville Lions Holding 8th Annual Lions DEN

The Bellville Lions Club will be holding its 8th annual Lions DEN (dinner, entertainment night) fundraiser on Feb. 27th.  This year, the club’s donation budget is $90,000, and does not include a recent decision to become involved in the Lions KidSight USA program. The club just purchased their own Plusoptix vision screening device and have had 10 Lions certified to do the actual screening.  The equipment cost was about $6000.
